TOY MUSEUM: The İstanbul Toy Museum was founded by Turkish poet and novelist Sunay Akın in 2005 after restoring their family mansion. Around 4000 toys and miniatures from all around the world and from various historical periods are being displayed. You will revive your childhood memories with your children in the museum where each room is designed as a different stage. The Toy Museum can be visited on the internet. Definitely recommended!

ISTANBUL AQUARIUM: Let your children discover the depths of the sea… Newest in the world, compared to aquariums of the same type, with its most recent technology, a rainforest, interactive areas and fish species from all around the world. Not to be missed!
JURASSIC LAND: Jurassic Land which is the widest theme park in Europe was founded in the Forum İstanbul Shopping Mall in Bayrampaşa in September 2011. There are 70 dinosaurs placed according to 10 different themes in the park which is built on 10,000 square meters of land and can be visited with guided tours. Jurassic Land opens its doors to a wonderland by re-creating the natural medium of many dinosaurs in motion for you and your children.

İSTANBUL MUNICIPALITY THEATRES: You may wish to be informed on the theatre programs for children organised by the Istanbul Greater Municipality Theatres which are free of charge. You may follow these programs from the internet or by obtaining brochures at the shopping malls that you visit. All municipalities organise many other theatre and musical shows for children. One of the activities which will widen your children’s world of imagination.
MINIATURK: Your children will love it here! Miniaturk, AKA Miniature Park of Turkey, which is founded by the Golden Horn on 60,000 square meters of land was opened in 2003. Miniaturk allows you to make a small tour of Turkey, where 1/25 scale models of 122 historical buildings are displayed. Within the same compound, there is also a Crystal Museum and Panoramic Victory Museum where the Turkish War of Independence is animated with various technologies.

WAX MUSEUM: Turkey’s first Wax Museum is at Sapphire Shopping Mall!
Considering the fact that there was no wax museum in our country and this concept was not known, Jale Kuşhan rented 34 wax statues from the St.Petersburg Museum in 1999 and brought them to Turkey. In the museum which is located in the Sapphire Shopping Mall, statues of 60 famous persons are being exhibited in four large halls, in their historical atmosphere. Your children will be excited to see many famous persons that they know from books.

KITE MUSEUM: Flying kites is a wonderful activity when the weather is good. One of the most colourful museums in Istanbul, the Kite Museum was opened in Üsküdar in 2005. Kites from all over the world are being exhibited with the aim of having children be informed on kites and see many different models all together. The museum is free of charge and it is open everyday, except Sundays, between 09.00-17.00 hrs.
PUBLIC GARDENS FOR CHILDREN: What makes Istanbul the most beautiful city is that it is situated along both sides of the Bosphorus Strait. You must go to the seaside with your children, taking your thermos bottle and snacks with you. The first address is parks around Kireçburnu-Sarıyer. You can have your tea while your children enjoy playing in the park with a sea view. Walking barefoot on the grass will make the whole family members feel wonderful.
VIALAND THEME PARK: The correct address of entertainment for children. It will be interesting to see creatures from all around the world in their own habitat. In the playground, there are new toys designed for children, programs with models of characters from cartoons, surrounded by old Istanbul houses. The park which will be very entertaining for you is open everyday between 10.00 – 22.00 hrs..
PS: One of the campaigns of Vialand is to attend all activities free of charge on your birthday. You will only have to fill in the form ”Communication Form of the Birthday Owner” on their website.
TRUMP KIDZMONDO: KidzMondo, is just a real city for children. In this covered theme park which is a smaller version of the real world, children will experience the life of adults. There are many places, activities and details to be discovered in KidzMondo just as it is in a real city. Children can select from airlines to banks and hospitals to a chocolate factory, from a fire department centre to a fashion academy amongst more than 40 professional groups. They will then spend the money they have earned, i.e. Kidlar, in KidzMondo as they wish. In KidzMondo, children are given serious and entertaining responsibilities from managing a city, its economy and public services. Children become aware of how economy works together with the general fantasy of life.
